Moab Monsters — Refunds & Policies
These terms apply to the Moab Monsters photo safari and related workshops and events. By booking a spot, you agree to the policies below.
Refunds & Transfers
All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable to future events. If you can’t attend, you may send a replacement participant at no additional charge. Please notify us in writing at [email protected] with the new attendee’s full name and contact information at least 72 hours prior to the event start.
Travel insurance is strongly encouraged. It can protect you against illness, injury, travel delays, weather, or other unexpected events that may prevent attendance.
Payments
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit secures your seat (amount shown at checkout).
- Balance due: Remaining balance is due by the date listed on your invoice/checkout page, usually 30 days before the event. Unpaid balances may result in release of your seat.
- Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback without contacting us first may result in cancellation of your seat with no refund.
What’s Included / Not Included
- Included: Transportation during the workshop, park fees, lunches, snacks & drinks, guided location logistics/timing, and a post-event editing/critique session.
- Not included: Airfare or travel to/from the meeting point, all lodging, breakfasts/dinners (unless noted), personal gear, travel insurance, and any optional activities not listed.
Schedule & Departure Times
We operate on tight schedules to catch first and last light. Most days will last 12 or more hours- this is a go go go tour. Departure times are firm. Please be packed and ready to load at the scheduled time. The group will depart on time, and no refunds will be provided if you miss a departure.
Itinerary Changes & Weather
Safety and conditions come first. Itineraries may be adjusted for weather, park restrictions, road closures, or safety considerations at the guides’ discretion. Alternate sites may be substituted as needed without refund.
Safety, Conduct & Environment
- Group travel: For safety and schedule, please ride in provided vehicles unless pre-approved by the organizers.
- Follow park rules: Respect all National/State Park regulations and guide instructions.
- Photography etiquette: Share prime spots, respect tripods/lines of sight, and keep lights/noise low during night shoots.
- Leave No Trace: Pack out all trash; do not disturb petroglyphs, ruins, or fragile terrain/biocrust.
- Hydration & sun: You’re responsible for adequate water, sun protection, and appropriate footwear/clothing.
Participant Responsibilities & Liability
By participating, you acknowledge outdoor travel has inherent risks. You are responsible for your own health, fitness, and behavior, and for safeguarding your camera gear and personal belongings. The organizers and guides are not liable for injury, loss, damage, delays, or expenses due to weather, acts of nature, or third parties.
Cancellations by Organizer
In the unlikely event we cancel (e.g., force majeure or minimum enrollment not met), you will receive a refund of workshop fees paid to us. We are not responsible for guest costs such as airfare, lodging, or other travel expenses; please use travel insurance.
Photo/Video Release (Optional)
We may capture behind-the-scenes photos/video for promotional use. If you prefer not to appear, please let us know in writing before the workshop begins.
